Developing Effective Communication Skills

More than 70% of problems in organisations have little to do with strategic planning or finance, but rather with poor interpersonal communication.

When people fail to understand how they and others behave and fail to recognise the impact of their actions on others the potential for misunderstanding and conflict to develop rapidly increases.

This programme is designed to provide an opportunity for people to reflect on their communication style, the impact this has on work relationships and to explore a range of techniques to improve their effectiveness.

  • Exploring the impact of assertive verbal skills
  • Using confident body language to create a positive impression
  • Defining frames and their impact on communication
  • Getting the whole picture - developing listening and questions skills
  • Developing effective influencing techniques
